Life Is But A Dream Art evolves in mysterious ways. This is the second set of people that Jane made for the fence. The first set had 3 people & a dog. The first man’s t-shirt also said ART LIVES and Jane had employed a left over political sign for the Life Is But A Dream statement. But time and trouble took a toll on the piece and it had to be remade. In a case of art imitating life, the new couple is closer––arm in arm––making room for the grandfather and child to be added. They are inspired by all the tourists with their kids that we see here. In the time since Jane built the last people she had listened to several hundred Mariner’s ballgames with Dick, so the boy became a little Mariner. Next         Back to thumbnail index
