Soul Tree
The Soul Tree is a magical tree whose leaves and fruit are the source
of all the souls in the universe. It grows in the heart of the garden
of origin. A Memory of What We Agreed to Forget also had an apple
tree on the woman's chest. Now the tree has become three dimensional,
growing out of her heart. The woman has also become three-dimensional.
The apple in her hand represents her individual soul.
Both the painting and dream speak to me of the quest for one's unique
nature. We are all part of the same tree, only the journey reveals
to us if we are root, leaf, blossom or fruit. Perhaps a metamorphosis
occurs as the voyage continues. If that were to be the case, I imagine
one could start life as a seed and end as a root.
Dream:
There were several books on a table. I wanted to have one that
I thought of as being meant for me. But they were trying to get
me to take a different one. I said I didn't want it because it has
all of the answers in it already. I need to find my own answers.
